Fauldhouse’s Paige Turley voted off Britain’s Got Talent in semi-final
Fauldhouse schoolgirl Paige Turley has been voted out of Britain’s Got Talent just before the final.
The 14-year-old divided judges with her performance of Bruno Mars’ It Will Rain at the semi-final on Saturday, May 5. While Simon Cowell and David Walliams praised Paige’s voice, the ladies were less impressed.
Amanda Holden told the teen that although she looked fantastic, she felt “underwhelmed” by her song choice. She said: “I wanted you to do something more special.”
Alesha Dixon agreed, adding: “I really like you and I loved your first audition but I have to agree with Amanda. This song didn’t show your range.”
Paige might not have made it to the final, but it seems that she has plenty of support from the community. Since she was voted off, local residents have took to social networking to congratulate the teen.
One user posted on facebook: “To get that far is brilliant, keep up the singing Paige!”
Another commented: “Well done Paige. I remember you from Croftmalloch Primary. Sorry you did not get through last night, but I hope you will get through on the wild card vote. Don't give up; you are a beautiful singer and a lovely young woman.”
Well done Paige!
